A: 13.1 miles
A: Of course! We are confident after you see what the programs are all about that you will want to get involved!
A: We have the beginner half for those who have never run a half marathon before but can run/walk a 5K (pace is not an issue) and we have the intermediate/advanced half for those who have run a half marathon before and are looking to PR. All groups will meet Tuesday/Thursday at 5:45am OR 6:00pm and Saturday at 7:00am.
A: We have training programs in Savannah and Pooler. The Savannah group meets mostly downtown, midtown, Thunderbolt, Lake Mayer, Isle of Hope, and occasional runs at The Landings and Tybee Island. The Pooler group time and location TBD.
A: We will be starting at smaller mileages (around 3 miles) and building over the course of the program. It will never change suddenly or dramatically and you will always be well prepared for any increased distance. You can also expect some track and hill workouts (just a few for the beginners and more for the intermediate group).
A: No, you are more than welcome to run ANY spring race and still train with us! Just make sure that you get with the coach beforehand and talk about your dates and tapering needs.
A: Absolutely. We want to inspire and educate runners/walkers of all levels, regardless of pace! We will always have coaches and mentors to run alongside you, so you need not worry about being alone on runs. Just make sure you are meeting the milege requirements as posted on the registration page before signing up.
A: Of course you can still be involved! We would love to have every trainee at every workout, but understand that life and obligations may get in the way. You can always attend the other session for the day if you miss your normal time slot. Also, just make sure that you are completing your training runs independently (or with a buddy) so you don't fall behind on your progress! Please let your coach know when you are expected to miss so we don't worry about you!
A: You can still train with C.R.E.W. through our virtual program. For more information on our virtual training program, click here.
