The WalkFIT Program is a 8 week program which meets two times a week. We are inviting people who want to be walkers but are starting with NOTHING, people who only run when chased, people who are always beset by injury, people who think those running folks are crazy and people who are 10% curious about what this is all about to join us! The WalkFit Program caters to walkers of all levels, abilities, sizes and types to partake in a structured program with the camaraderie and the support to help you cross the finish line of a 5K.
WalkFIT meets two times a week. The workouts will last about a half hour to an hour as we increase walking time throughout the season. In addition to the workouts there are weekly newsletters to keep you up to date, group support, free injury clinic through Ledesma Sports Medicine, and expert coaching to inspire and motivate you on this training journey. Plus the camaraderie of others just like you!
This program is made for beginners. It is a safe, welcoming place for you to get fit, make friends, and have fun! Fleet Feet Sports Savannah encourages you to exercise at your own comfortable pace and we are focused on YOUR success!
The WalkFIT training plan starts with a 10 minute walk for the first workout and you will work up to a 50 minute walk by the end of the program. It will never change suddenly or dramatically and you will always be prepared for any increased time.
