Why Toro Talk and what is it? Well a couple of years ago I was running with a former employee of ours, his name was Jeremy Duncan, a great person and an incredible runner. One evening Jeremy and I were doing an evening run from the store through beautiful downtown Savannah, about an 8 miler for that evening. We were running along and as always the pace quickened as we got more and more into the run and adrenaline started flowing. Jeremy known for his craziness, humor and comments during runs kept laughing to himself and finally after a few more chuckles that I couldn't figure out, I asked, "what's so funny?". His response without hesitation was, "you sound like a bull when you run, kind of heavy, kind of snorting and just tearing through the run". Yes I have never been a graceful runner or person, and I have never considered myself that talented of a runner, but Jeremy was right. I notice it now when I run and can't help but smile when I think about the name Jeremy gave me after that run, "El Toro". And so "Toro Talk" is born, each week in the e-letter I will touch on the subject of running, fitness, races, workouts or whatever might be in my head at the time. I will do what I can not to bore you and I promise I will keep it short. Thank you all for your support of Fleet Feet Savannah.
