A Big Event! One Runner!
On October 1, 2010, a very special event will be occurring in Savannah. The event will be the result of a compassionate Savannah resident making a major, heartfelt effort to contribute to the cause and community that she cares about so much.

What is this special event??
Dr. Elizabeth Miller, a beloved Savannah resident and ophthalmic surgeon for over 30 years, will run 60 miles on her 60th birthday. The adventure is motivated by her efforts to generate awareness for the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and to raise money for a much needed Community Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic.

Dr. Miller will begin her run at 5:00 AM in The Landings on a route that will take her to downtown Savannah, out to Tybee and then back to the Humane Society on Sallie Mood Drive at approximately 6:00 PM. Upon her arrival, there will be a well deserved and joyous celebration party!

How Can you Help?
Come run with Doll, on sections of the course, and help raise money for the Spay and Neuter Clinic. The Fleet Feet Team will be following Doll during her 60 mile run through Savannah, and we would like to see all of our Savannah residents come out and support this amazing athlete and more importantly, an incredible person.
