ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all Savannahians and everyone in the Low Country for landing this incredible event, and making it easy for the Competitor Inc. to make the decision that Savannah would be the perfect place for a Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon. If you go through all the Rock and Roll events in the country, you can see that many cities have a half marathon only, so it is a very big deal and an honor that The Rock and Roll group chose Savannah to host both a marathon and half marathon. If you are not going to participate in either the full or the half, prepare your volunteer groups, friends and families to volunteer for a variety of jobs that will help make The Savannah Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon a great success. Stay tuned to the Fleet Feet Savannah website and E-letter, and tell your friends and family to sign up for it to receive more information on all the happenings of the 2011 Savannah Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.

In just a few weeks, race season kicks off in Savannah with the Saucony Fleet Feet Savannah Cross Country Kickoff Classic August 28th in Daffin Park. If you have never seen a High School XC meet before, come on out and support the kickoff to the High School XC season by cheering, volunteering, or running. The XC Kickoff Classic has an Open Division for the public starting at 7am for all age groups. If you ran XC in HS, college, or if you have never run a XC course come out and compete on the same course these outstanding HS athletes will be running on. Come on out and have a RUN DIRTY!!
