This trail is a part of the Coastal Georgia Greenway, which connects with trails along Highway 144 leading to Fort McAllister. It was built using the dirt mounds that were left alongside Green Creek in the early 1930’s. Henry Ford’s men had dug the creek to aid in the drainage of lands for forestry and farming.
